2. Static Pressure & Inlet Throw: Keeping Cold Air off the Floor
Cold outside air is heavy and dense. If introduced through wide openings or with insufficient static pressure, it immediately drops to the litter, chilling the chicks and forming wet spots under the side walls.
- Target Pressure Range: Maintain 20 to 35 Pascals (0.08 to 0.14 inches of water gauge) in houses 12–15 meters (40–50 ft) wide.
