Pellet Feed: Feed must be delivered as pellets. Ducks struggle to consume mash feed, which causes eye-clearing issues and paste accumulation in the beak, leading to high feed wastage.
3. Commercial Quail Husbandry Guidelines
Incubation Parameters: Coturnix quail eggs hatch in 17 days. Set temperature at 37.5°C and relative humidity at 55% during incubation. Boost humidity to 70% during hatching (Day 15-17).
Battery Cages vs. Litter: Quail laying production is optimized in multi-tier battery cages with sloping wire floors to collect eggs. Maintain 16 hours of continuous light to support daily lay rates of 80-90%.
