Rhode Island Reds lay approximately 200 to 250 large brown eggs per year, with excellent shell strength. Roosters reach a mature weight of 3.9 kg, and hens reach 3.0 kg, providing a dual-purpose meat salvage value. Their genetic makeup contains high disease resistance against local pathogens compared to commercial hybrid lines.
